Guidelines
You must be selective about what you submit - it is better to submit a small amount of high-quality material rather than a large amount of lesser quality, irrelevant material. Submit only what is relevant and necessary.
You cannot assume that all of the assessors will know your work. Your submission may be assessed by people who do not know your work.
All supporting documentation must be correctly labelled and submitted in the prescribed formats.
Prescribed formats and requirements
CV
You must include a current artist CV. Your CV should include a comprehensive overview of your work as relevant (e.g., exhibitions, performances, recordings, etc.), reflecting the work that you have done and your expertise in this area. The CV should be in MS Word format.

Artist statement
You are required to provide two statements about your body of work
- A 250-word statement.
- A 50-word summary.
Both statements should be in MS Word format. The statements should contain your name and contact details, as well as the name of the work to which it refers.

Image list
The image list must contain the filenames of the images you are submitting, along with details of the title and date of the work, media and dimensions (of the work, not of the image). The numbering of the image list must correspond to the required viewing order of your images.
The image list should be in MS Word format. The image list should contain your name and contact details.
Image files
If you are making a submission in relation to 2D or 3D work: You are required to submit four(4) image files to represent your body of work, and each image must be submitted in two sizes - a high-resolution version of size 2048 x 1536 pixels, and a low-resolution version of size 600 x 450 pixels. One of the images should be of the work installed for exhibition or assessment*.
Select images that represent your work clearly. All high-resolution images should be of printable quality without the need for further editing. All low-resolution images should be optimised for screen delivery.
All images should be in JPEG format. The four high-resolution images should be stored in a folder called "high_res_images" and the four low-resolution images should be stored in a folder called "low_res_images".
If you are making a submission in relation to 4D work:
You are required to submit one (1) image file to represent your work installed for exhibition or assessment*. The image must be submitted in two sizes - a high-resolution version of size 2048 x 1536 pixels, and a low-resolution version of size 600 x 450 pixels.

*If you select a work or body of work as the subject matter for this assignment for which you do not have images of the work installed for exhibition or assessment, it will be necessary to re-install the work in the studio or another suitable location and photograph it again.
Video files
If you are making a submission in relation to 4D work, you must provide a two-minute extract from your work in two formats:
- a version that has been re-sized to 320 x 240 pixels resolution in MPEG4 format.
- a full-size, uncompressed version of the same two-minute extract in Quicktime format.
All video files submitted must contain a title sequence containing the following information:
- your name
- your course and year
- the title of your work
- the name of the workshop for which the submission is being made
- the date of submission
- a copyright notice of the following form: © IADT 2008
CD ROM
All CDs should be readable on both a PC and a Mac. Only the following file formats are acceptable:
Image files: JPEG
Video files: QuickTime and MPEG4, as specified
Documents: MS Word
Other file formats are unacceptable.
On opening, the CD ROM containing your images and supporting documentation should have the following structure:

All CD ROMs should be labelled, either directly onto the surface with a permanent marker, or with a label designed specifically for CDs. The label should contain the following information:
- your name
- your course and year
- the title of your work
- the name of the workshop for which the submission is being made
- the date of submission
- a copyright notice of the following form: © IADT 2008
- if you are submitting more than one CD, indicate what material is contained on each one.
CD cases should contain a correctly-fitted insert with the same information as the label of the CD which they contain.
File names
File names should contain only lower-case alphanumeric characters, and the underscore character.
- No upper-case letters
- No spaces
- No hyphens, dashes, asterisks or other punctuation marks.
