Part 1: Selecting, re-sizing and improving your images
- If you brought your images on a CD or USB key, save your images to your network space
- Open Photoshop (Finder/Applications/Adobe Photoshop ...)
- Open your images in Photoshop (File/Open ...)
- Check the size of each image (Image/Image Size ...) in pixels and make a note of it. Is each image larger than the target image below (640 x 480 pixels)?
- Review your images
- Choose the three best images
- Use Photoshop to re-size each image to 640 x 480 pixels
- If the images need any other adjustments (Image/Adjustments ...) to improve them, such as contrast, brightness or sharpen (Filters/Sharpen ...), make these adjustments too.
- Save each image as a jpg file (File/Save As ...)
Part 2: Uploading your images to a photo-sharing service
- Open a browser (Safari)
- Go to www.photobucket.com
- Register to use Photobucket
- Upload your three selected, re-sized and adjusted images to Photobucket
Part 3: Creating a display of your images to share or embed
- Make a re-mix of your images in Photobucket
For example, I selected, re-sized and adjusted these three images of the painting from last week, and uploaded them to Photobucket:

Then I used the Adobe Premiere Express facility in Photobucket to make a Flash-based presentation of the images:

Finally, I embedded the code for the presentation into a blog that I set up for the purposes of illustration for this week's class:
