Further reading

To explore Photoshop further, you can consult the help files, available from the Help menu. For a more hands-on approach, try following the tutorials in one of the many Photoshop books available. For preference, get one with an accompanying CD, as this will give you extra training resources to work with.

Available in the IADT library

The most up-to-date Photoshop books available in the IADT library are: Photoshop CS2 : a guide to creative image editing by Mark Galer and Philip Andrews, and Photoshop CS2: Killer Tips by Scott Kelby and Felix Nelson.

Books to buy (or borrow from your local public library)

There are lots and lots of teach-yourself books on Photoshop. The most popular titles are in the "for Dummies", "Sams Teach Yourself" and "Classroom in a Book" series. Read the reviews online, have a look at the books, and decide which has the teaching style that suits you best.

Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown and South Dublin public libraries all have a good selection of these.
